Our Story

A Home Built for Recovery

Anchor House Recovery was created with one purpose: to give women in recovery a safe, beautiful, and structured place to call home while they rebuild their lives.

About Us

Anchor House Recovery was created from a place very close to my heart.

Recovery has touched my family personally. I have two sisters and a son who are in recovery, and through their journeys, I have seen firsthand how difficult the road to sobriety can be. I have also seen how powerful it is when someone knows they are not walking that road alone.

My family has been fortunate. When my sisters and my son needed support, they had people around them who loved them, encouraged them, stood beside them through difficult days, celebrated their progress, and continued believing in them. Our entire family became part of their support system.

Through those experiences, I began thinking about the women who don't have that.

What happens to the woman who is trying to rebuild her life but doesn't have a safe place to go? Who encourages her when she's struggling? Who reminds her that one difficult day doesn't erase all of the progress she has made? Where does she go when returning to her previous environment could put everything she has worked for at risk?

I couldn't stop thinking about those women.

I realized that while I can't replace someone's family, I can help create a place where a woman feels safe, respected, supported, and given the opportunity to keep moving forward. That is why I created Anchor House Recovery.

I wanted to create more than just a sober place to sleep. I wanted a beautiful, comfortable home where women could feel proud of where they live while rebuilding their lives. A place with structure and accountability, but also compassion. A place where recovery is respected, progress is celebrated, and women are encouraged to believe in the future they are creating for themselves.

Watching people I love go through recovery has taught me that recovery takes tremendous courage. It has also taught me how much having the right people around you can matter.

Every woman deserves the opportunity to build a life she is proud of, regardless of where her story began.

My hope is that Anchor House can be one small part of that journey — a safe place to land, a place to grow stronger, and a place to begin building the next chapter. Because sometimes having someone believe in you can make all the difference.

Our Mission

We believe that where you live matters. A clean, comfortable, and accountable home environment can make a meaningful difference in the recovery journey. Anchor House Recovery exists to provide women with exactly that — a residence that supports sobriety, fosters independence, and surrounds residents with a community of women who understand the path they are on.

Our Approach

Structure, accountability, and community — the three pillars of life at Anchor House.

01

Structure

Anchor House operates with clear house rules and expectations. Structure is not a punishment — it is a foundation. Consistent routines, shared responsibilities, and defined boundaries help residents build the habits that support long-term sobriety.

02

Accountability

Residents participate in regular drug and alcohol testing, including testing up to twice weekly. Accountability is built into daily life at Anchor House — not as surveillance, but as a shared commitment to the substance-free environment that everyone depends on.

03

Community

Living alongside other women in recovery creates a natural support system. Residents share meals, common spaces, and the everyday moments of life. That shared experience — the encouragement, the understanding, the accountability — is one of the most powerful parts of the Anchor House environment.

What We Believe

Recovery deserves a beautiful home

We invest in the quality of our space because we believe women in recovery deserve comfort, not just shelter.

Sobriety is a shared commitment

Every resident agrees to maintain a substance-free lifestyle. That shared commitment protects and strengthens the entire community.

Independence is the goal

We are not a treatment program. We are a home. Our goal is to support residents in building the independence and stability they need to thrive on their own terms.

Privacy and dignity matter

Every resident is treated with respect. Inquiries, admissions, and residency are handled with complete confidentiality.
